SUMMARY:New Service Provider Training - Marquette
DESCRIPTION:New Service Provider Training is a hybrid training with two phases. Participants must complete phase one’s virtual sessions to participate in phase two’s in-person sessions.  \nIn phase one\, you will work independently and at your own pace in 10 virtual lessons hosted by the Michigan Victim Advocacy Network (MiVAN). MiVAN will provide training certificates for all virtual sessions you complete. \nIn phase two\, training is delivered in-person over 2.5 days and facilitated by the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCEDSV). Dates to attend phase two are offered monthly in rotating locations around the state.  \nRegister and start training today! Once you register for in-person training\, you will receive the necessary information and instructions to access the virtual\, on-demand sessions. \n  \nWHO IS THIS TRAINING FOR?  \nStaff from agencies funded by the following grant sources are eligible to attend New Service Provider Training: CSU\, including (DVCS\, DVCSF\, DVCSM\, DVCSV\, and SDVS)\, SACS\, federally recognized tribes\, and TSH/TSHV.  \nNew Service Provider Training is designed for those with one year or less of experience in direct service advocacy roles. If you have previously received a certificate of completion for New Service Provider Training\, even if you have switched employment to a different agency\, re-registering is not recommended\, and MCEDSV may cancel registrations. If you are unsure or have questions about your ability to participate\, please email us before registering. \n  \nThe in-person training schedule is:  \nDay 1: 10 am – 6 pm  \nDay 2: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm  \nDay 3: 8:30 am – 12:30 pm \n  \nNeed to make hotel reservations?  \nOur discounted room block at the Stay Bridge Suites Marquette has now closed. DESCRIPTION:Join the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence (MCEDSV) for Survivor Services Day at the Capitol on Thursday\, April 16\, 2026\, in the Mackinac Room of the Anderson House Office Building (124 N Capitol Ave Lansing\, MI 48933). This annual event brings together advocates\, nonprofit partners\, policymakers\, and community leaders to elevate the voices of survivors and highlight the essential services that support their healing and safety. \n  \nThe day will feature informative panel discussions\, engaging speakers\, and opportunities to learn from leaders across Michigan’s advocacy and service sectors. A complimentary lunch will be provided to all registered participants. \n  \nThis is a free event for all MCEDSV members. Early registration is strongly encouraged\, as it enables MCEDSV staff to help coordinate meetings with legislators and their offices\, ensuring attendees have meaningful opportunities to discuss the needs of survivors and the programs that support them. For members\, information is forthcoming on mileage and hotels. \n  \nWhether you are a frontline advocate\, policy partner\, or community ally\, Survivor Services Day is an opportunity to strengthen relationships\, build collective knowledge\, and advance survivor-centered policy across Michigan.
