Monthly Facilitator’s Dialogue: Building Stronger Trainings Together

June 25, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EDT

A statewide meeting designed for anyone who facilitates training on domestic violence, sexual violence, or human trafficking. Connect across organizations and audiences to share lessons learned, develop stronger trainings, further your facilitation skills, and sustain each other in this work.

Every month we will explore a theme to guide conversation and strengthen our skills. This space is welcome to anyone providing training in the community on domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking no matter their agency, role, or audience!

This space is peer-led and facilitated by a team of MCEDSV staff and trainers from local DV/SA agencies. The facilitation team includes:

  • Miranda Mizla

Education & Policy Advocate, Turning Point Inc.

Miranda Mizla is an LMSW and proud alumna of Wayne State University. She works as an Education & Policy Advocate, delivering age-appropriate presentations to students in middle and high schools on topics such as healthy relationships, consent, teen dating violence, sexual violence, human trafficking and more. Miranda also serves on Turning Points Agency Training Team, providing presentations to the greater community, organizations, and new service providers.

In addition to her education work, Miranda conducts policy analysis and advocates for legislative changes that address barriers survivors may face. She is committed to ensuring that survivor voices are being centered in the development of new laws and policies. She has previous public speaking experience from her time with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and spent most of her young adult years advocating for change in the child welfare system as a representative of the State of Michigan.
