Community is Prevention

January 20 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Agenda Welcome & Introductions Community Building Prevention Learnings Community Prevention Evaluation and Implementation Feedback and/or Discussion Closing

Community is Prevention (CIP) is a free, virtual space for people and organizations working to make their neighborhoods and communities safer by preventing violence. Whether you see yourself as a prevention expert, work for a survivor support agency, or are realizing that your work may be part of the solution, this group is for you!  We meet twice a month to share ideas, learn from each other, and explore ways to build stronger, healthier communities in a variety of ways. CIP is open to anyone involved in community-based work—whether you’re running local programs, organizing events, engaging neighbors, or just interested in creative ways to create safer and more connected communities.

This space is designed to be practical and supportive, helping participants connect, share experiences, and gain new strategies to make a bigger impact. It’s not designed to be a training course led by a few experts—it’s intended to be a peer-learning space where everyone has knowledge to share.

Each month, we’ll send out a newsletter with upcoming discussion topics, guest facilitators, and key takeaways from previous sessions. Join us as we work together to build safer communities for everyone!
