What We Do
Voices4
We operate Michigan’s 24/7 statewide hotline for domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Every call, chat, text, or TTY is answered by a trained advocate who listens with compassion, responds through a trauma-informed lens, and honors each survivor’s identity, story, and choices. Confidentiality and respect guide everything we do.
Training & Education
MCEDSV offers trainings that meet people where they are, whether you’re looking for an introduction or more advanced exploration. Our topics span domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, prevention strategies, PPOs and ERPOs, and more. We also provide specialized sessions on responding to disclosures in the workplace or community settings, supporting staff and volunteers who do trauma work, and integrating anti-violence practices into organizational culture. Every training is tailored to the audience, ensuring relevance and impact, and can be delivered in person, virtually, hybrid, or on-demand.
Advocacy & Legal Support
We believe survivors’ voices should shape the laws and policies that impact their lives. Our team works with lawmakers, member programs, and community leaders to advance legislation that protects and uplifts survivors. We provide legal training to advocates and organizations so they can better support victims. When legal representation is otherwise out of reach, we stand in the gap and offer direct legal services for sexual assault survivors who would have none.
Prevention & Vision
Our commitment goes beyond response. We work toward a Michigan where domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking no longer exist. Prevention efforts are designed to change conditions so that every person, in every community, can live free from violence and exploitation.
