MCEDSV – Grant Writing Workshop

This day-long training will explore the mechanics of preparing to grant write, how to develop a program and program budget, and ensuring the agency has the ability to fulfill all grant compliance expectations, if the proposal is funded. Participants will be provided with a sample request for proposals, organizational tools and strategies for approaching application writing, and time to workshop common elements of grant narratives. Trainers will support participants in working with their organizational mission, existing staffing, and current service delivery model to plan well in advance of potential grant writing opportunities. Participants will also be introduced to technical assistance resources available for support in their grant writing efforts.

This training will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport, 4747 28^th Street SE Grand Rapids, MI 49512-1915. Parking is free for hotel guests. Lunch will be provided onsite. Training will begin promptly at 9am (registration begins at 8:30 am).

CANCELLATION AND SUBSTITUTION POLICY FOR ALL MCEDSV TRAININGS

Notify MCEDSV in writing as soon as possible if you are unable to attend the training. A minimum 72-hour advance notice is required for most trainings and a training refund is not guaranteed if cancellations are not received by the deadline (select trainings require earlier notice such as New Service Provider Training and those specific dates are noted on all training information pages).

We recommend that programs attempt to send another eligible person in the place of any registrant who cannot attend.
