Meeting the Needs of Survivors in Poverty

Economic justice must be a part of our work! Survivors in poverty face additional barriers to accessing services and becoming, and staying safe. This training will discuss the intersection of poverty with domestic and sexual violence and provide foundational methods for remaining strengths-based and trauma-informed when working with survivors experiencing deep economic need.

This training will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport, 4747 28th Street SE Grand Rapids, MI 49512-1915. Parking is free for hotel guests. Participants will be responsible for their own breakfast and lunch. Training will begin promptly at 9am (registration begins at 8:30 am) There will be a 75 minute lunch break and there are a number of restaurants nearby.
