MCEDSV Train the Trainer-DV 101

Train the Trainer – DV 101

This training focuses on the principles of adult learning and how to turn these principles into the skills needed to educate community groups on domestic violence. Participants will receive sample training materials, engage in practice training sessions, and participate in comprehensive learning on not only what information to provide to their audiences, but how to convey it. Participants will learn the most up-to-date techniques on how to make training accessible for adult learners, and will have full access to a completed presentation within their communities for basic training on domestic violence.

This training will be held at the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence conference room at 3893 Okemos Road, Ste. B2, Okemos, MI 48864. Parking is free in our parking lot. Participants will be responsible for their own breakfast and lunch. Training will begin promptly at 9am (registration begins at 8:30 am) There will be a 75 minute lunch break and there are a number of restaurants nearby.

There is no cost to attend this training. It is free to MCEDSV members and non-members. Additional fees apply to register for CEUs for Social Work.

CANCELLATION AND SUBSTITUTION POLICY FOR ALL MCEDSV TRAININGS

Notify MCEDSV in writing as soon as possible if you are unable to attend the training. A minimum 72 hour advance notice is required for most trainings and a training refund is not guaranteed if cancellations are not received by the deadline (select trainings require earlier notice such as New Service Provider Training and those specific dates are noted on all training information pages).

We recommend that programs attempt to send another eligible person in the place of any registrant who cannot attend.
