Michigan Domestic and Sexual Violence Prevention and Treatment Board (MDSVPTB) Is a Governor-appointed Board responsible for administering state and federal funding for domestic violence and advocacy services.  The Board develops and recommends policy, and develops and provides technical assistance and training.

Participation in this training is limited to those new employees and advocates at organizations where their positions are funded by MDSVPTB. Those not funded by MDSVPTB cannot be accommodated at this training. If you are uncertain, please check with your organization prior to registering.

This training will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bay City – Riverfront, One Wenonah Park Place, Bay City, MI, 48708 , USA. Parking is free to guests of the hotel. Participants will be responsible for their own breakfast the first day (Monday), however lunch will be provided that. Tuesday– Friday lunch will be provided, but participants are responsible for their own breakfast and dinner. Training will begin promptly at 10:00 am (registration begins at 9:30 am) on Monday, April 6, 2020.

Attendees and others who are registering attendee(s) for this training, please review and share the following important information:  MCEDSV arranges hotel reservations for registered/confirmed attendees who require lodging. Registration covers four nights of hotel (Monday through Thursday nights, checking out on Friday, the last day of training). MCEDSV covers lodging costs for room and tax only. Attendees may be required to present a personal credit card upon check-in for incidentals during their stay (i.e. in-room telephone calls, room service, food or sundry purchases, valet parking, etc.).

There is no cost to attend this training. It is free to MCEDSV members and non-members who are funded by MDSVPTB. Additional fees apply to register for CEUs for Social Work.

CANCELLATION AND SUBSTITUTION POLICY FOR ALL MCEDSV TRAININGS

Notify MCEDSV in writing as soon as possible if you are unable to attend the training. A minimum 72-hour advance notice is required for most trainings and a training refund is not guaranteed if cancellations are not received by the deadline. We recommend that programs attempt to send another eligible person in the place of any registrant who cannot attend.
