VOCA Training – Best Practices of DV Shelters – Rules and Regulations

Join us for a 90-minute training focused on basic rules and regulations in shelters. Participants will develop ways to center shelter rules and regulations on survivors and their many intersections. This training hopes to give advocates at all levels an enhanced understanding of shelter best practices by considering where we were, and where we need to go.  This is an advanced decision making and organizational culture conversation that will require open and honest discussion mindful of survivor centered policies, positive change, and future oriented thinking.

This training is delivered via ZOOM and is free.

This training is open to employees at all levels serving in Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, or Human Trafficking agencies, but particularly at positions of leadership, policy making, and culture change. This training is also open to the public, particularly those interested in trauma informed, survivor centered advocacy.
