How to contact your representative and voice your opposition to HB 4691

Earlier this year, HB 4691(H2) passed  the Michigan House Judiciary Committee and was sent to the House floor.

It is critical that legislators understand that this bill would create a “one-size-fits-all” presumption of joint physical and legal custody in all child custody cases.

Here’s how you can take action to make a difference in 2 easy steps:

  1. Find your State Representative and his/her contact information HERE
  2. Contact your State Representative by email, mail, phone or in-person if he or she has local coffee hours to meet constituents. Tell them that Michigan families and children deserve individual consideration in disputed custody cases, and victims of domestic violence deserve protection. LET THEM KNOW your concerns about this bill!

Thank you for fighting for Michigan’s children and for survivors of abuse!
